The Gateway Grizzlies picked up a win at FNB Field, downing the Altoona Curve, 5-3. On the mound for Gateway was right-hander Luke Kohn, who played a pivotal role in the win. Kohn yielded 3 runs over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 1-2. Jeremiah Huggard locked down his 5th save.

Shaun Krantz helped out the Gateway cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the second baseman was 1 for 4.
