Lancaster Keeps Trending in Wrong Direction
|
Led by Toby Troy, the Altoona Curve downed the Lancaster Barnstormers, 6-4. Troy was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 for the Curve. José Torres picked up the win, lifting his record to 1-3 on the season. He struck out 4 and walked 3 in 5.1 innings, while yielding 4 runs. The Curve improved their record to 19-13 with the win over Lancaster.
Pee Wee Azucena had a key at-bat with two out in the bottom of the second for Altoona. With the bases loaded and the Curve leading 1-0, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
"We're not winning games right now," said Lancaster manager Gustavo Resendiz. "But I'm not going to denigrate the effort by the guys."
