Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Altoona Curve and Portland Sea Dogs.

With left fielder Lochlan Iacobellis leading the charge, the Altoona Curve defeated the Portland Sea Dogs, 6-4, at Hadlock Field. Iacobellis, who is tied for 8th in the EL in bases on balls with 17, was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Elijah Hayes, the winner, improved to 1-1. He held Portland to 3 runs on 6 hits over 5.2 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts.

Altoona used the hitting of Pee Wee Azucena to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Curve on top, 5-2. For the game, Azucena had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"I'm not out here to win a beauty contest," said Iacobellis. "Obviously."
