Dark Knights Mow Down Sea Dogs, 11-4
|
Yonkers first baseman Cory Mihm was instrumental in helping the Dark Knights triumph, 11-4, over the Portland Sea Dogs. Mihm went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Todd Rubio, the winner, improved to 2-2. He held Portland to 4 runs on 6 hits over 6.2 innings, while racking up 6 strikeouts. The Dark Knights now have a mark of 16-13.
Early in the game, Mihm had a 3-run home run for Yonkers. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Dark Knights on top, 3-0.
"We didn't pitch good, and when you don't pitch good, you lose," said Portland manager Matt Aguirre.
