New York got a valiant performance from pitcher Wayne Boyd, but it wasn't enough to beat the London Royals. London won the game, 3-2. Boyd threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. Austin Huey recorded his 5th save for London. The Royals improved to 57-77.

Marc Privette took New York hurler Duuk Pijlswaard deep in the bottom of the eighth. His 3-run home run put the Royals on top, 3-2. In all, Privette had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

Privette said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
