The Indianapolis Ignition picked up a win at PepsiCo Park, topping the Portland Hops, 4-1. On the mound for Indianapolis was right-hander Kason Faucher. He played a principal role in the triumph. Faucher, the winner, moves to 8-10. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up no walks. Mainard Pérez closed it out for Indianapolis, earning his 8th save.

The Ignition got a big at-bat from left fielder Edward Blake. For the game, Blake went 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 21st double of the season gave Indianapolis a 2-0 lead.

"Kason's a gamer," said Indianapolis manager Jay Duren. "Glad he's on our side."
