Armour Sensational for Cubs
|
Pitcher Johnny Armour was sensational for the Chicago Cubs in his team's 4-0 triumph over the San Diego Padres. Armour picked up the win, and it was well-earned. The victory gives the Cubs a record of 67-63.
Armour was in the zone all game. He frustrated San Diego hitters while giving the Cubs 8 innings of quality work. Armour threw 90 pitches, allowing 3 hits and getting 5 punchouts.
"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Devin Aaron.
