Walker Shines in 7-6 Seattle Win
In a tight contest at Savemart Center, the Seattle Mariners edged the Fresno Falcons by the score of 7-6. Seattle catcher Norm Walker, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. Seattle reliever Archer Bey picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Gregg Walters shouldered the loss. Gaman Ramage was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 42 of 43 save opportunities.

Seattle used the timely hitting of Anthony Gelin to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Mariners on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"I hate to be the fly in the ointment," said Walker, "but we could've played better."

Seattle has now won 4 straight.
