The Vancouver Cascades picked up a win at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, topping the Baltimore Orioles, 5-4. On the mound for Vancouver was right-hander Edwin Ramey. He played a principal role in the triumph. The 5th-place Orioles have lost 5 consecutive games.

Vancouver used a well-timed hit by Gaius Raton to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Cascades ahead, 3-2. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Ramey.
