Giants Slap 5-4 Loss on Fresno
|
The San Francisco Giants picked up a win at Oracle Park, knocking off the Fresno Falcons, 5-4. Starting pitcher Tom Spears was a big reason why. The second-place Giants now have a record of 72-54.
The Giants got a big hit from second baseman Rocky Adams. In the bottom of the sixth, Adams smacked a bases-clearing double off Fresno pitcher J.B. Whitson. It was his 4th double of the season. Suddenly, the Giants were ahead, 4-3.
Adams told a San Francisco Times reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
