Mariners Stumble, Lose to Expos
Montreal took on Seattle in front of a lively crowd.

Montreal Expos starter Max Unger had all his pitches working at Olympic Stadium. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-2 Montreal win over the Seattle Mariners. The Expos now own a record of 57-66.

Weston Lay had a big 2-run double for the Expos in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Montreal leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a curveball from R.J. Luther, who is tied for 3rd in the AL with a 1.10 WHIP, and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 16th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Expos ahead, 3-0.

Said losing manager Jose Perez: "We had a bad night. It happens."
