Arce drives in 5 runs, Leads Pirates to Win
In a high-scoring contest between Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, left fielder J.C. Arce was a difference-maker. Arce distinguished himself in the 11-9 Pittsburgh win. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 5. The win was credited to 33-year old right-handed pitcher Guy Hughes in relief. His record improves to 7-3. Fraser Tezak took the loss. Earning his 1st save for Pittsburgh was Theodore Mason.

Pittsburgh used the timely hitting of J.C. Greene to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Pirates on top, 8-7. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"If the personal accolades come, so be it," said Greene. "I just want to win ballgames."
