The Las Vegas Knights could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Dave Black into a win. Instead, the Colorado Rockies prevailed, 7-4. Black threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball. R.J. Shannon earned the save for Colorado, his 21st of the year. With this game in the books, Colorado is 74-49, Las Vegas 58-65.

Colorado used a timely hit from Bradford Strong to get the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Rockies ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Strong said.
