Boston turned a fine outing from starter Henry Sodoma into a victory over the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. The final score was 4-2. Sodoma yielded 2 runs over 7 innings to notch the win. Boston needed the clutch hitting of Emrey Bello to seal the deal. The designated hitter swatted a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Red Sox on top, 4-2. For the game, Bello had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Winning is hard sometimes," said Red Sox manager Daniel Knepper. "This one was nice to get."
