Braves Suffer 5-0 Road Loss
Kansas City registered a win at Kauffman Stadium by beating the Atlanta Braves, 5-0. Pitcher Hoyt Coltrane was one reason why the Royals triumphed. The Royals now own a record of 53-67.

Benjamin Nang had a big 2-run home run for the Royals in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Kansas City leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a sinker from Tilson Vargas, who is tied for 5th in the NL with a 1.03 WHIP, and punished it. The result was his 28th home run of the season, which put the Royals on top, 3-0.

"Good win for us," said Nang. "We'll strap it on and go after the next one."
