Black Bears Walk It Off for 48th Win of Season
Detroit left fielder Verrell Vander Mark was sensational. He was 3-4 with 2 home runs and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Virginia beat the Tigers, 6-5. B.J. Langenburg notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 5 hits in 2.2 innings. His record now sits at 2-2. The last-place Black Bears improved to 48-71.

The Black Bears were down to their final out when second baseman Victor Bautista turned a 2-1 fastball from Joshua Rusch into a 2-run single. The walk-off single made the The Sparrow's Nest crowd go wild.
