New York Yankees starter Vic Schramm found his groove in his team's 5-3 win over the Houston Astros. With the win, New York goes to 73-44, while the Astros fall to 48-69.

New York used a well-timed hit by Rocky Adams to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Yankees ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"We've got a great group of guys," Adams said, "and we're having fun right now."
