Atlanta and Cincinnati got after it at Great American Ball Park.

Atlanta picked up a win at Great American Ball Park, toppling the Cincinnati Reds, 6-3. Pitcher Austin Defenbaugh was one of the reasons the Braves triumphed. Defenbaugh got the win, improving to 8-9. He allowed 8 hits and walked 0 over 6 innings. Defenbaugh allowed 2 runs. Arturo Frank recorded his 8th save for Atlanta.

Atlanta used a well-timed hit by Josias Jaynes to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Braves ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Defenbaugh told reporters after the game.
