The Philadelphia Phillies did just enough to secure a victory over the Cincinnati Reds, 4-3, at Great American Ball Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Will Wachter. Vincente Proctor earned the save, his 8th in 10 tries. Cincinnati's current losing streak has reached 4 games.

The outcome might have been different for Philadelphia, had it not been for Marty Booz, the former first round draft pick . Booz stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put Philadelphia up, 3-2. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.

"Will was throwing strikes, locating well," said Philadelphia manager Tim Saxton.
