Ignition Earn Win with Late Rally
Portland wasted a solid 7.1-inning effort from starting pitcher Latrelle Hamilton, losing to Indianapolis, 2-1, at The BeerGarden. The win went to Alex Russell in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Jayson Griffin took the loss. Indianapolis occupies third place in the American League Alvarado Division at 55-60.

Eduino Piña had a direct impact on the outcome. Piña contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the ninth inning to put Indianapolis up, 2-1.

"Tough loss," said Portland manager Nelson Espinoza. "But we'll learn from it."
