The Memphis Blues spoiled a good performance by Vancouver designated hitter Elijah Denton, bumping off Vancouver, 5-4, at Royal Port Stadium. Denton was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Elijah Jereb notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2.1 innings. His record now sits at 6-0. Zósimo Tejada wrapped it up, recording his 2nd save.

Rolando Estorga came through with a big-time hit for Memphis. The designated hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Estorga told the Memphis Daily News.
