The Baltimore Orioles topped the Indianapolis Ignition, 5-4, in American League action at PepsiCo Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Baltimore pitcher Kurt Faur. Zak Vara picked up the save for Baltimore, his 18th of the year. Baltimore has a record of 56-57, placing them 5th in the American League Sandoval Division.

The game was at a stalemate until pinch hitter Marc Gagnon came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Indianapolis pitcher Phil Meyer, he hit a 1-0 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Baltimore on top, 5-4.

"Kurt was Kurt," said Orioles manager Craig Lauer. "He gave it all he's got."
