The St. Louis Cardinals beat the Indianapolis Ignition, 13-6, at PepsiCo Park. Charles Silvestrini, in particular, was impressive. He went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The save went to Gordon Pantoja, number 24 for him. With the win, St. Louis raised its record to 57-56.

With St. Louis leading 8-5 in the top of the ninth, Silvestrini hit a fastball from Beau Peters for a grand slam home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Cardinals ahead, 12-5.

"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Silvestrini.
