The Texas Rangers picked up a win at Globe Life Park in Arlington, courtesy of Dong-Hyeon Song. The right-hander helped his team stop the San Diego Padres, 3-0. Spencer Murphy, who is tied for 5th in the WEST in saves with 26, earned the save for Texas. The Rangers now have a record of 77-35.
Song was in the zone all game. He frustrated San Diego hitters while giving the Rangers 7.2 innings of quality work. Song threw 99 pitches, allowing 6 hits and getting 9 punchouts.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Song said.
