Mahaffey K's 10 En Route to 5-1 Indians Win
|
Cleveland Indians starter Neville Mahaffey turned in a top-notch performance against the Memphis Blues at Blues Stadium. The result was a win for the Indians, 5-1. Today's win puts Cleveland at 54-58, while Memphis falls to 61-51.
The Blues had little chance against Mahaffey, who overpowered Memphis hitters and struck out 10.
"I just made my pitches," said Mahaffey, "and the ball kept missing the bat."
