The Indianapolis Ignition topped the Vancouver Cascades, 6-5, in American League action at Royal Port Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Indianapolis pitcher Beau Peters. Indianapolis occupies third place in the American League Alvarado Division at 53-58.

Indianapolis shortstop Simón Larreynaga contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 105th hit of the season and put the Ignition ahead, 3-0.

Said Indianapolis manager Jay Duren: "At the end of the day, these guys have to perform between the lines, and I think they did."
