Speyer Shines in 9-5 New York Win
The New York Yankees trumped the Minnesota Twins, 9-5, at Yankee Stadium. New York catcher Ryder Speyer was terrific. He belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. New York pitcher Cale Wiltsie got the win, upping his record to 7-4. Rowan Childers got the loss. At 43-68, the Yankees are currently 4th in the Eastern Region North Division.

Stephen Kenon aided the New York cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the shortstop went 1-3.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Speyer said.
