Colorado had no answer for former first round draft pick Hunter Wronowski. The Chicago White Sox starter stymied Rockies hitters, helping the White Sox cruise to victory, 7-1. Wronowski yielded 1 run over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 10-6. The first-place White Sox, at 62-47, now lead their division by 2½ games.

Miguel Rivera had a big 2-run home run for the White Sox in the top of the second inning. With Chicago leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from 34-year old right-handed pitcher Dong-Hyeon Song and punished it. The result was his 7th home run of the season, which put the White Sox on top, 3-0.
