Orioles Defeat Indians, 3-1
|
Tecumseh Field was the site of a tense game between the Cleveland Indians and Baltimore Orioles.
Yelix Ribera never let the Indians get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his slider, to pitch the Orioles to a win, 3-1. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Baltimore.
Baltimore used a timely hit from Elías Saucedo to get the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 13th inning to put the Orioles ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.
In postgame comments, Saucedo said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
