The Cleveland Indians got a magnificent performance from pitcher Nick Garcia, who stifled the Arizona offense en route to a 2-1 Indians win at Tecumseh Field. Garcia went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 8-6. Sebastian Sienkiewicz recorded his 23rd save for Cleveland.
Cowboy Beyer drove in one run for Cleveland. The 25-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off A.J. Evans. It was his 24th RBI of the season.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Garcia said.
