The Toronto Blue Jays beat the Portland Hops, 9-5, at The BeerGarden. The win was due in part to third baseman Jayden Bice, who went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 3 runs. Toronto is sailing along at 74-32.

Toronto used the bat of Mike Asawawong to capture the win. The second baseman jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Blue Jays ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a dandy.

"It's a good day to be a fan after a win like that," Bice told the Toronto Bulletin.
