Veasey Hits 2 home runs in Dodgers Win
|
Los Angeles right fielder Trent Veasey made his presence felt in the 6-1 Dodgers triumph over the Minnesota Twins. Veasey hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Keylon Mason was the winner. Over 8.1 innings, he allowed 1 run on 6 hits, with no walks and 7 strikeouts. Los Angeles has 3 straight wins, Minnesota 3 straight losses.
With Los Angeles leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Veasey hit a splitter from Jaiden Fenner for a 2-run home run. It was his 18th home run of the season and put the Dodgers ahead, 3-0.
Veasey attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
