Orta Lifts Mets to 13-4 Win
The New York Mets marched over the Minnesota Twins, 13-4, at Target Field. Carlton Orta, who is tied for 10th in the AL in triples with 4, led the charge. He went 3-5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 4. Jeb Dollarhide got the win, improving to 8-7. He worked 5 innings, giving up 1 run on 6 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 3. With the victory, the Mets record stands at 45-60.

Ermengol Abrego had a big 2-run double for the Mets in the top of the fifth inning. With New York leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from Zachariah Thackray, who is tied for 4th in the NL in complete games with 1, and swatted a double to center. It was his 11th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Mets ahead, 4-1.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Abrego said. "We did a good job of that today."
