Bautista Lifts Yankees to 9-6 Triumph
|
A good performance from second baseman Victor Bautista helped the New York Yankees defeat the Vancouver Cascades, 9-6. Bautista went 3-4 with a home run, a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Yankees. New York's record now stands at 40-65, placing them 4th in the Eastern Region North Division.
With New York leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Bautista hit a cutter from Dewitt Harris for a 2-run double. It was his 9th double of the season and put the Yankees ahead, 3-0.
"We got the victory," said Bautista. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
