Indianapolis Keeps Trending in Wrong Direction
Texas and Indianapolis got after it at PepsiCo Park.

Behind a fine performance from Monico Sántos, the Texas Rangers knocked off the Indianapolis Ignition, 9-6. Sántos went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Rangers. E.J. Pulley got the win, improving to 10-8. He held the Ignition to 3 runs on 6 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 1.

Texas used a clutch at-bat from Stanley Gamble to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Rangers ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

Afterward, Indianapolis manager Jay Duren said: "Every team has a bad week."
