Fresno Loses Again
No one was more impactful than Tom Dunmire in the 8-4 Indianapolis win over Fresno. Dunmire, who led the EAST in extra base hits with 95 in 2056, went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Mohamed Bruno got the win, improving to 4-4. He worked 7.1 innings, giving up 4 runs on 9 hits, while striking out 10 and walking 0. The save went to Derek Gwinnup, his 8th this season.

Indianapolis used the timely hitting of Blake Bond to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Ignition on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Dunmire called the triumph "a good team win."

By defeating Fresno, the second-place Ignition improved to 52-50.
