Portland Wins, 4-0, in 13 Innings
|
The BeerGarden was host to some intense drama.
Portland pitcher Fabian Galloway did his part in helping his team beat the Boston Red Sox, 4-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The victory puts Portland at 39-62.
Portland won the game in the bottom of the 13th inning. With no outs and José Garza on the mound for Boston, right fielder Noah Austin hit a dramatic grand slam home run, bringing Hops fans to their feet.
"This game will make a man of you," said Alberto Velasquez, the Portland skipper, "if it doesn't kill you first."
