Falcons 5-2 Winners Over Memphis
The Fresno Falcons got a stellar effort from pitcher Norman Ewing, helping Fresno score a win over the visiting Memphis Blues, 5-2. The Falcons have an impressive 61-39 record.

Jacob Beltran had a big 2-run double for the Falcons in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Fresno leading 3-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a sinker from 22-year old right-handed pitcher P.J. Fernandes and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 13th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Falcons ahead, 5-1.

After the game, Ewing refused to speak to a reporter for the Fresno Bulletin. "You've accused me of throwing teammates under the bus," he said. "So, excuse me if I decline to answer your questions."
