In a tension-filled contest between the Portland Hops and the Cincinnati Reds, pitcher Latrelle Hamilton was superb. The Portland left-hander, who is tied for 2nd in the AL in complete games with 3, spearheaded his team's 1-0 win. Portland now owns a record of 36-64.

The decisive blow was delivered by Walt Baum in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 24-year old right-handed pitcher Sawyer Marinas to win the game for Portland. The home crowd went nuts.

"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Baum said.
