Royals Top Orioles, 3-2
|
Kansas City beat Baltimore on the strength of starter Warren Felton's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-2. Emilio Huerta was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 20 of 21 save opportunities. At 38-62, Kansas City is in 5th place in the Western Region Central Division.
Aimar García dealt the Orioles a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with the bases loaded and Kansas City leading 1-0, García hit a 0-1 fastball for a run-scoring single.
"I take a professional approach to my job," said Felton. "I've been around this game for a while."
