Philadelphia Pastes Toronto, 14-2
The Philadelphia Phillies pounded the Toronto Blue Jays, 14-2, at Citizens Bank Park. Philadelphia catcher Ignacio Mejia had a game-changing performance. He went 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. The win has Philadelphia at 37-57.

Cole Thomas had a big 2-run double for the Phillies in the bottom of the second inning. With Philadelphia leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a slider from Zach Lowe, who led the NL in wins with 18 in 2058, and swatted a double to right. It was his 13th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Phillies ahead, 3-0.

"That was awful," fumed losing manager Adam Luthe, post-game.
