Royals Handle Ignition, Grab 3-1 Win

The London Royals picked up a win at Kauffman Stadium, courtesy of Chris Romano. The left-hander helped his team stop the Indianapolis Ignition, 3-1. Romano yielded 1 run over 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 5-9. Gio Sliwinski was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 19 of 19 save opportunities.
Miller Head had a big 2-run home run for the Royals in the bottom of the third inning. With London leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a changeup from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Kameron Redden and punished it. The result was his 7th home run of the season, which put the Royals on top, 3-0.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Romano said.
The Royals saw their record improve to 39-54.
