The California Angels firmly defeated the Cincinnati Reds, 22-2, at Disney Stadium. The California offense was lit. Prescott Brittain, for one, had a solid game. He went 4 for 6 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles. He scored 4 times and drove in 4 for the Angels. The 5th-place Angels bumped their record to 38-54.

With California leading 8-2 in the bottom of the fourth, Brittain batted against Cincinnati pitcher Ethan Fowler. Brittain hit a fastball to left-center for a 3-run home run. His 22nd home run of the season put the Angels on top, 11-2.
