The Philadelphia Phillies knocked off the Fresno Falcons, 5-3, in American League action at Savemart Center. Philadelphia pitcher and Dallas, Texas, native Gaman Ramage had an outstanding performance. The winner was Ramage. He threw 5.2 innings allowing 2 runs. The loser was Karl Marsolek. Sawyer Cathcart earned the save for Philadelphia, his 15th of the year.

Philadelphia used a clutch at-bat from Ignacio Mejia to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Phillies ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"That's what this team is about," said Ramage, "picking each other up."

The Phillies go to 36-56, putting them 5th in the American League Alvarado Division.
