Giants Stumble, Lose to Cascades
The Vancouver Cascades knocked off the San Francisco Giants, 9-1, at Royal Port Stadium. Brent Gallagher Jr. was a big reason Vancouver won. The second baseman was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Gabriel Gener, the winner, is now 8-6. He struck out 5 and walked 0 over 6.1 innings, while allowing 1 run on 4 hits. The Cascades are now 39-52.

Lark Coleman hit a 3-run home run off Tom Spears in the bottom of the third, which put the Cascades ahead, 4-1. In addition to the homer, Coleman had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.

Cascades manager Orlando Navarez had nothing but praise for his players after an impressive win, calling the result one of the team's best performances of the season. "Everything just came together on our end," he said. "I didn't need to do too much."
