Philadelphia Pastes Minnesota, 15-3
The rain came, as predicted, but the Philadelphia Phillies and Minnesota Twins were able to complete their ballgame.

The Philadelphia Phillies handed the Minnesota Twins a sound defeat, 15-3, at Citizens Bank Park. Justin Martin, who is on pace for 116 RBI this season, was a main contributor to the win. He was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Philadelphia. Philadelphia is now 41-48.

Corey Wells had a big bases-clearing double for the Phillies in the bottom of the second inning. With Philadelphia leading 3-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 29-year old right-handed pitcher Quint Anders and swatted a double to right. It was his 17th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Phillies ahead, 6-0.

Said losing manager Connor Sandstrom: "They kicked the stuffing out of us."
