Becker Now 4-2 After Subduing Pirates
|
Dylan Becker was brilliant in helping Houston beat the Pittsburgh Pirates, 4-1. Ethan D'Ornellas picked up the save, his 18th. With the victory, the Astros record stands at 39-49.
Becker was effective for Houston, seldom allowing the Pirates to square up a pitch. The right-hander tossed 92 pitches over 8 innings. He limited Pittsburgh to just 1 run on 3 hits.
"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Becker. "Successful pitchers do it."
