Mets Sting Falcons, 5-1
|
New York turned a good effort from starter Edbert Coleman into a win over the Fresno Falcons at Citi Field. The Mets won the game, 5-1. New York, now 43-45, holds down 4th place in the Eastern Region North Division.
The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the third inning, but Coleman was able to pitch out of a jam. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and Fresno trailing 2-1, Coleman retired Troy Tischenko, who struck out.
