Vancouver turned a good performance from starting pitcher Culley Fuller into a 3-2 triumph over the Fresno Falcons at Savemart Center. Fuller picked up the win for Vancouver, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 3-3. F.J. Elliott got the save, his 17th in 20 chances.
Vancouver used a well-timed hit by Brent Gallagher Jr. to capture the win. The second baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Cascades ahead, 3-2. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"It's a good day to be a fan after a win like that," Fuller told the Vancouver Times.
With the victory, the Cascades record stands at 40-45.
