Angels Win, 4-0, Versus Expos
|
The California Angels got a strong performance from pitcher Theodore Mason, who stymied the Montreal offense en route to a win, 4-0, at Disney Stadium. Royce Dovin locked down his 2nd save. The Angels sit in second place in the Western Region Pacific Division with a record of 57-27.
One of the clutch hits for California came from one of their biggest talents. In the bottom of the seventh with two out, Adrian Phillips, who is tied for 6th in the WEST with a .941 OPS, hit a 2-run single to put the Angels up, 4-0. For the game, the pinch hitter went 1 for 1. He drove in 2 runs.
"It's a mindset," said Mason. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
