Hunter Wade was superb against New York. The left-hander, who finished 5th in the WEST in innings pitched with 223.1 in 2049, had a cutter that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Falcons victory. The score was 1-0. Gregg Walters picked up the save, his 7th. Fresno's record now stands at 38-45, placing them 4th in the Western Region Pacific Division.

It was an impressive outing from the soft-spoken Wade, who tallied 12 strikeouts in 6 innings and allowed only 3 hits. Wade, who finished 5th in the WEST in wins with 16 in 2049, raised his record to 8-5 on the year with 120 strikeouts.
