Hops Win at Memphis, 5-3

The Portland Hops beat the Memphis Blues by a score of 5-3. Portland center fielder Pete Koo deserved the lion's share of the credit. Koo was 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Hops. Jefry Alcantara got credit for the win, improving to 3-9. He allowed 2 runs on 6 hits in 6.1 innings. Justin Adkins recorded the save for Portland, his 15th of the season.
In the top of the second of a scoreless game, Koo hit a solo home run to put his team ahead.
"We did enough to win," said Koo.
